Dr Best is the Practice Owner and has worked within both NHS and private dentistry since qualifying back in 2004. This includes a spell as a private dentist in Australia. He gained his M.F.D.S RCS (Ed) in June 2009 and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, now offering Inman Aligners (Invisible Braces).
Dr Best is an Educational Supervisor for the North Western Deanery and is responsible for supervising and teaching Foundation Dental Practitioners (FD1’s – 1st year after graduation) at the practice.
Dr Best is also an honorary tutor for Liverpool University in teaching and supervising Dental Therapy students .
Dr Kiaran Weil BDS

Dr Weil is our Clinical Director, responsible for our high clinical standards here at Bateman and Best. Kiaran has also taught Oral Surgery at the University of Manchester and Human Behaviour at the University of Southern California. She has a keen interest in treating anxious patients. Mrs Weil is an honorary tutor for Liverpool University in teaching and supervising Dental Therapy students. She has a particular interest in Oral Surgery (extracting difficult teeth) and treats patients who have been referred to the practice from NHS Choices/Referral Management Centres for more complex surgery procedures.
Kiaran has strong links with the charity Bridge2Aid which provides teaching to Clinical Officers in Tanzania.
Dr Catherine Armstrong BDS

Dr Armstrong is one of our senior dentists and joined the practice following her graduation from Glasgow University 1996. She is committed to the provision of NHS and private dentistry here in Darwen. Mrs Armstrong is also an honorary tutor for Liverpool University in teaching and supervising Dental Therapy students and is currently studying at UCLAN towards becoming a Foundation Dental Trainer.
Catherine is appointed Radiation Protection Adviser at Bateman and Best.
Dr Matthew Goodall

Dr Goodall joined the practice in August 2011 after qualifying as a Dentist in June 2011 as a Foundation Dental Practitioner (1st year after qualifying), after completing his foundation year he has now become an associate at the practice.He carries out both private and NHS treatments, and is now trained in Inman Aligner treatments (Invisible Braces). Dr. Goodall has a special interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is currently studying towards a Masters at Manchester University.
Dr Louise Banner BDS

Dr Louise Banner joined Bateman and Best in April 2016 as an associate, after successfully running her own practice for a number of years. She currently provides treatment on both NHS and private basis’.
